Wig Care

1. Detangle the wig using a wide-tooth comb.
2. Prepare the shampoo solution: Fill a small bucket or bowl with cold water (just enough to dip the wig). Add approximately 7 ml of Creative Wigs Shampoo for synthetic hair (one capful) and mix until fully diluted.
3. Soak the wig: Place the wig in the water and let it soak for around 20 minutes to loosen dirt and buildup.
4. Rinse thoroughly: Remove the wig and rinse under cold running water, gently squeezing out excess water. Avoid rubbing, as this may cause tangling.
5. Repeat if necessary: Place the wig back into a bowl of clean cold water. If the water is not clear or the wig is heavily soiled, repeat steps 2–4.
   *Check areas such as the inside of the cap, tabs, elastic, and nape.
   *If needed, gently clean these areas with diluted shampoo using your fingers, without rubbing the hair. Rinse well.
6. Dry the wig: Place the wig on a towel and gently press to remove excess water. Do not wring or rub the hair.
7. Air dry: Allow the wig to air dry. You may hang it from the nape. Ensure it is in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight.
8. Style after drying: Once completely dry, the wig should retain its original style.
   *Wavy styles: Gently detangle and polish using a wide-tooth comb, working strand by strand to avoid frizz.
   *Short or straight styles: Use a non-static brush or wide-tooth comb.
9. Apply leave-in conditioner: Use Creative Leave-In Conditioner for Synthetic Hair to add shine and a fresh fragrance.
   *Spray from about 40 cm away, focusing on mid-lengths to ends.
   Do not overspray; 1–2 sprays are sufficient.
   *Alternatively, apply a small amount to your hands and smooth through the hair.
   *Do not apply to the base.
   *Do not use heat styling tools on synthetic hair.
   
   TIPS
   Avoid standing near heat sources, as excessive heat can damage the fibre.
   A steamer may be used to adjust curls, hair direction, parting, or to smooth the fibre. Keep the steamer at least 20 cm away and work carefully, strand by strand.
   For curly wigs, our synthetic wig conditioner can help maintain the shape. Allow the hair to dry in the desired position once finished.

5. Place the wig back into a bowl of clean cold water. If the water is not clear or the wig is heavily soiled, repeat step 2, 3 and 4.
   *Check areas such as the inside of the cap, tabs, elastic, and nape.
   *If needed, gently clean these areas with diluted shampoo using your fingers, without rubbing the hair. Rinse well.
6. To dry, place the wig on a towel and gently press to remove excess water. Do not wring or rub the hair.
7. Allow the wig to air dry. You may hang it from the nape. Ensure it is in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight. (Allow the cap to dry completely by placing the wig on a plastic or wire stand before applying it to a canvas block head)
8. Style after drying: Once completely dry, the wig should retain its original style.
   *Wavy styles: Gently detangle and polish using a wide-tooth comb, working strand by strand to avoid frizz.
   *Short or straight styles: Use a non-static brush or wide-tooth comb.
9. Once your wig is detangled Heat styling tools can be used up to a maximum temperature of 180°C.
   *Work strand by strand.
   *Lightly spray with water if needed to create steam and assist with styling.Cooldown each strand you do in the desire shape.

TIPS
When using heat styling tools, ensure they have adjustable temperature control. Using a temperature no higher than 180°C will help maintain the integrity of the wig.
When detangling your HD wig, always start from the ends and work your way up, strand by strand. Avoid pulling on the hair, as excessive tension can cause strain on the fibres and lead to further tangling.

4. Remove and rinse thoroughly under cold running water, gently squeezing out excess water. Avoid rubbing.
5. Place the wig back into a bowl of clean cold water. If the water is not clear or the wig is very dirty, repeat step 2.
   *Check the cap interior, tabs, elastic, and nape area.
   *Gently clean these areas with diluted shampoo if required. Rinse well.
6. Place the wig on a towel and gently press to remove excess water. Do not wring or rub.
7. Apply Creative Leave-In Conditioner for Human Hair using the spray. Do not apply to the base.
8. Blow-dry the hair starting at the nape, working in 2-inch sections on medium heat.
9. Use a non-static brush to style.
10. Do not allow a human hair wig to air dry, as this may cause the hair to lose its lustre.
